A good supplier enquiry makes the unresolved detail easy to identify. You do not need technical-sounding language. A product reference and a precise question will usually be more useful than a broad request for “more information”.
1. Which exact item does this description refer to?
Include a link to the page, the full product name and the option you are considering. If the photograph and written description appear inconsistent, say which details differ. Ask the supplier to confirm the current listing rather than choosing one interpretation yourself.
2. Is the stated amount per container or per pack?
Ask this when a quantity label is unclear. State the selected number of containers in the question. It helps separate a packaging question from a pricing question and makes the answer easier to check against the page.
3. Which documentation applies to this batch?
Request the relevant batch or lot identifier and the corresponding record, where available. If a document has already been supplied, quote its reference so that the supplier can confirm whether it is the right one. Our batch-record guide explains the checks to make when it arrives.
4. What does this reported result describe?
Point to the exact line, unit or percentage that is unclear. Ask which property and method it refers to, and whether any qualifications apply. Avoid a vague question such as “Is this good?” when the missing detail is something specific in the report.
5. What will be included in the selected order?
Confirm the pack contents, selected total and any delivery information you cannot establish from the site. Keep operational questions separate from questions about the material, so each can receive a clear answer.
A short enquiry you can adapt
I am reviewing
, with [selected option]. Please could you confirm whether [the specific detail] refers to each container or the complete pack? Could you also identify the batch documentation that applies to this item? The detail I need clarified is [quote the relevant wording or report reference].
Prepare the reference before writing the message
Open the current page and copy its link. For example, if your question concerns the TB-500 listing, include that page rather than linking only to the shop homepage. State the exact selected option and identify the sentence, image or document that prompted the question.
Where an order already exists, use the supplier’s support channel and include the appropriate order reference. Avoid posting order details or personal information in public comments. The purpose is to identify the enquiry, not to provide unrelated private information.
Separate identity, documentation and delivery questions
A single message can contain several questions, but number them so each can receive an answer. “Please clarify this product” is hard to resolve if your actual concerns are a pack count, an unmatched batch record and a delivery charge.
For identity, quote the complete product name. For documentation, quote the batch and report reference. For delivery, state the selected service or the exact wording you are asking about. Keeping those topics distinct makes it easier to see whether the response has addressed all of them.
| Broad enquiry | More precise wording |
|---|---|
| What do I get? | How many containers are included in this selected option, and is the listed amount per container? |
| Is there a certificate? | Which batch-specific document applies to the item currently listed? |
| What does this percentage mean? | Which property and method does the result on this report line refer to? |
| When will it arrive? | What are the dispatch terms and delivery estimate for the selected service? |
Check the answer against the original question
Read the response beside your numbered list. A general reassurance may not answer a specific question about an amount or document reference. Where the reply is incomplete, follow up with the unresolved point and quote the relevant wording so the supplier can see the gap.
Do not treat a quick response as proof that the information is complete, or a slower response as proof of a problem with the material. Evaluate whether the answer identifies the relevant item and resolves the question you actually asked.
When a document is supplied
First check that it refers to the product and batch under discussion. Then read the reported property, units and method in context. Save the file with the message that identifies it. Our documentation guide provides a fuller checklist for this step.
If the supplier says a particular record is unavailable, preserve that answer accurately. Do not turn “unavailable” into “passed”, “failed” or “not needed”. Those are different conclusions and may require information you do not have.
Close the loop in your own notes
Record what changed after the enquiry: a pack description was clarified, the applicable batch was identified, or a question remains open. Add the date and reference the response. You should be able to return to the note later without reconstructing the conversation from memory.
For a second product, begin again with its own identity and references. An answer about GHK-Cu Copper Peptide, for example, should not silently become an answer about every other listing in the catalogue.
Can I ask the shop which product to use personally?
The catalogue is for laboratory research, not human or animal consumption, diagnosis or treatment. These enquiries concern the information supplied about research products; they are not a route to personal treatment or dosing advice.
Keep the response alongside the relevant product and order records. If a question remains unanswered, leave it marked as unresolved rather than interpreting silence as confirmation. You can use the contact page for enquiries about this catalogue.
